Privacy policy

PodWing collects no personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network requests. Nothing you do in the app leaves your device.
Information used on your device
- Bluetooth
- To find and connect to your AirPods and read/change their settings. This data stays on your device.
- App preferences
- Your settings (theme, equaliser, options, last-seen battery, noise automations) are stored locally only.
- Notification access (optional)
- If you enable Advanced media controls, the app reads the active media session to show the current track and control playback, and (for per-app noise automations) to know which app is playing. This is never stored or transmitted, and no notifications are read for anything else. You can turn it off anytime.
Permissions
- Nearby devices / Bluetooth
- To communicate with your AirPods.
- Location (Android 11 and below only)
- Required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning. The app does not use or collect your location.
- Notifications
- For the status notification and the optional media controls.
Purchases
PodWing is free with all features unlocked. Optional tips (a small “tip jar”) only add a cosmetic badge — nothing is gated. Payments are handled by Google Play Billing; PodWing never sees or stores your payment details.
